Kaisugu Limited is registered as a private company established in 1928 as a tea estate. The company is located in the highlands west of Rift Valley in Kericho, altitude of 2,300 above sea level. Approximately 275 KM from Kenya’s capital Nairobi. Today, the company has over 330 hectares of tea plantation and a factory with a capacity to process 120,000 Kgs of green leaves per day. Kaisugu draws its tea leaves from both own estates and outgrowers managed through a comprehensive farmer outreach programme.
The company prides itself with internationally recognized certifications of its operations that include Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Rainforest Alliance (RA) and Tea Board of Kenya mark of origin.
Kaisugu exports 80% of its total productions while its 20% is sold in the local market through its brand mark Kaisugu Classic Tea
Kaisugu owns 321 hectares of planted tea and manages about 3800 small holder farmers spread within tea growing zones of Kericho and Bomet Counties.
It also owns a 3 line factory with optimal crushing capacity of 120,000 kgs of green leaf per day.
